Pattern of the 8-pin PCI Express power cable for a GTX 960 SSC

So this is a continuation of the problems I've had with this graphics card...I found out I need an 8-pin power cable to connect from my power supply unit into the GTX 960 SSC, and fortunately -or so I thought- I discovered that my psu had an 8-pin. I quickly found that the pattern of the holes on the cable did not match up with the pattern of the holes on the graphics card.
Does anyone know how I could find the exact power cable I need for this card on the internet? I need to buy a new power cable but I don't have any experience doing so, and I've got no idea how to go about finding the exact, correct cable for my graphics card.

The card needs s PCI-express connector, an 8 pin. Usually they are attached to the power supply. They can be 6 pin, which of course only works with cards requiring a 6 pin connector. They can also come in what's called 6+2 pin. This allows you to use the cable for 6 pin cards, and by adding the second plug(the +2), now you can use it with 8 pin cards.

The connector you found is for the CPU and connects to the motherboard. It's not for videocards. If your power supply does not have an 8 pin pci-ex connector, then you will need another power supply.

Is the PSU modular? If so you might have to get proper plug from the power supply maker as they are not all the same.

Sounds like you had the 8-pin EPS for the CPU. PCIe is different wiring and plug shapes so they cannot be mixed up. (sense A and sense B are also grounds)
