Can I use different Screws to mount my CPU Cooler?

Hello everyone,

yesterday I started to build my first ever PC and I ran into a problem while trying to mount my Cryorig H7 CPU cooler. One of the four screws isn't manufactured right and it's not possible to screw it into the cooler because the screw thread is deformed. I went to the store today to buy some screws (obviously they didn't have the exact same screws) and got some metric screws with the same length and width. Now I want to know if I can use one of these new screws to replace the original screw that is broken, or if I should just send the CPU cooler back ask for a replacement/buy a new one.

Here are some pictures (the screws with the bigger heads are the original ones): http://imgur.com/a/AZnGr

Solution
Swap only the bad one, just make sure you don't over tighten it as it has longer threads and can't stop where it should like original ones. In the mean time you can contact manufacturer and they will probably send you one free of charge and than you can replace it easy enough.

Hmmm, Thread pattern is exactly the same for sure i tested it out with the nuts that came with the screws i bought today (they also fit perfectly on the original CPU cooler screws). Width is also the same for sure. The only thing thats different is the head and that the new screws are roughly 1 mm longer than the original ones

Should i go ahead and replace all 4 original screws with the new ones or is it okay if I just swap the one out that is broken?

Cool I couldn't quite tell if they had exact the same thread pattern, if so then it should be OK. I would still send a note to Cryorg have them send you some screws then you can replace the one you use in place of it as they should ship you screws out for free.
