I have a z97 motherboard, 16GB of DDR3 RAM. I bought the 4770K used about a year and a half ago. I noticed bsod errors every now and then but didn't think much of it. It will not boot into windows with the 4770K unless I underclock to 3.2GHz and if I run a stress test such as OCCT it blue screens in 2 seconds. I need a new CPU. My max budget is $400. I like to play games. Should I get a 5775c or 4790K?
CPU unstable at less than stock speed.
