Long story short, here's my build
-Maximus nine code
-8gb ddr4 3000mhz corsair
-Gtx 1070 strix
-I5 7500
-Thermaltake 750w gold

So, everything was working fine until one day when there was a storm and i was watching a YouTube video, my pc shutted down after a thunder, for my surprise the DVI port on my GPU where i had connected my monitor was dead, it wasn't working anymore and neither was my HDMI port where the tv was connected, so i bought an adapter (DP to DVI) and everything was golden until a few weeks later when i was playing FF type 0 and the screen went black and my GPU fan speed went up to a 100% (and i was like: maybe the GPU temps were to high) so i turned off the system and fire it back up again and started playing again, but this time i was monitoring my GPU and CPU temps and they were perfectly fine (68c for my GPU and 55c for my CPU) and the same thing happened, a black screen and the fans ramped up like crazy, then that problem got worse, it was happening every now and then while watching YouTube and just browsing until one day a message appeared when i turned on the PC "Please Power Down and Connect the PCIe Power Cable(s) for this Graphics Card" so i reconnected the cables and it was working, or so i though, now the infamous code 43 was showing up in device manager and so i reinstalled the drivers (uninstalling them with DDU) and the code 43 was still there, so i tried an older driver 378.92 but when the driver started updating the GPU fans would go like crazy and it would happen every time that i tried to update them so i installed the drivers from the CD that came with the GPU and they did in fact installed, it's just that my GPU still has code 43 and still tells me to connect the pcie power cables, so i cannot use it. In order to use my PC i had to use the igpu cause otherwise it won't work. i already tested it on another system with different PSU,CPU and motherboard, i already replaced the thermal paste which by the way was terribly apply, was all over the place, with mx4 and updated my mobo bios to the latest one.

At the end i ended up RMA the card, and now i got a new one, thanks.

Hey,
I would RMA the card. No need to be specific as to why it failed, just describe what's not working (really, just say the HDMI and DVI outputs don't work).

You've probably got more damage since the fans ramp up etc.

During RMA you'd need to connect the monitor to the motherboard to use the iGPU unless you have a spare video card.

Other:
I recommend the APC Line-R 1200VA unit to help protect from voltage variance. It's worked very well for me.

Other:
REMOVING the video card and using the Intel iGPU will also help confirm if any OTHER issues are going on. If the computer works fine then your problems are likely solely due to the GTX1070.

Any 'warning" or 'error" message in event viewer should be investigated. The one at the date / time of your problems occuring would be the relevant ones tho for this particular problem.

To get a RMA, you will likely have to go to tech support and they will take you thru a trouble shooting procedure before authorizing the RMA. In US, after 30 days, the store is usually "off the hook"
