Amd fx 8300 overclocking on a 4+1 board

Hello my question is can you overclock this chip on the type of mobo specified on the title without changing the voltage of it
Update: motherboard is the gigabyte 970a ds3p

4+1 leaves not much room for overclock

Don't. You'll likely burn up the VRMs.

You might be able to get it stable @ 4.2 with stock voltage, but that's about it.

You'll do 4ghz with an 8 core if you can keep voltage below 1.38.

NOT A GREAT BOARD for overclocking , but some mild OC with that 95w chip should be fine with a decent cooling solution.

Clockspeed: 3.3 GHz
Turbo Speed: 4.2 GHz ...that is already the Turbo setting.

I am still having trouble with my chip when ever i change the mulitplier it gives an error and says that settings are in compatable with the hardware state
