I have six Corsair HD series RGB fans. Two for the radiator's intake, four to cool the case.

The AIO cooler is Corsair H100i v2. It has a fan splitter to power both fans.

I also bought a new Corsair Commander Pro. What I didn't buy, until moments ago, was the Corsair RGB Fan Hub that connects up to six fans.

Ok, now what do I do? I'm new to the rgb fan thing and really didn't think it was this involved.

1. Do I have the necessary hardware to control lighting and fan speed via Corsair Link?

2. How does all of this connect?

Somehow the internet doesn't have this issue yet. I'm sure I'm not the only sucker out there, but I still want to succeed in this.

Thanks much for any and all help.

It depends on your motherboard and how new it is. For example my mobo came with 4 case fan plugins and 2 for cpu, totalling 6 which would be plenty for what you need. If you plug in the splitter for the AIO into your 1 of the fan plugins (it may be marked as aio or pump plugin) how many do you have left? If you got a least 4, you don't need a fan hub and you can control them all individually via mobo utility or third party software.
Now the rgb connectors are separate and need a hub I think, as I don't think there are plugins for them on the mobo. As they are usually different voltage be careful not to connect them to the regular fan plugins or you may damage them. If your case didn't come with this hub for your LED lights, I'd think the manufacturer of the fans would have them as fan accessories or something. Check their product list.

Thanks for your post--I apologize for not responding sooner.

I've found out a couple things. With having so many RGB fans, i definitely needed a hub. So i bought one from corsair, it will be here wednesday. Now, with the Commander Pro, i guess all fan connections go there so i can controls speed. The rgb hub plugs into commander in the LED slot. At least i think thats what i'm to do...

I do have many fan hubs on the mobo, it is a new z270 gaming board. I'm trying to make this look really good regarding cable management, so im trying to avoid using onboard hubs. Created my own issue, but now i think its covered.

Here's the kicker: apparently i cant count...i have 7 fans. so NOW i thin ill have to utilize the second led slot on the Commander and will be all good.

The things i do for lighting...ridiculous.
