Just installed a new RAM stick. Computer shuts off after 1 minute.

ADDING ram is hit and miss , even identical modules purchased at separate times can be incompatible.

Are the two RAM sticks the same model? And in which slots have you installed them? Motherboards are very choosy about how the sticks get added to the available slots.
