Hi everyone!
I am starting (again) to produce music with my PC, therefore I need to add some RAM.
I have an ASUS Sabertooth Z77 with 2X4GB of G. Skill Ripjaws RAM, and its speed is unknown to me, although one scanner tells me it is 2133Mhz, but I think it may be wrong.
I know that the max RAM is 32GB.
My question is this-
Will I be able to add any DDR3 Memory to my current ram? For example, can I add two 8GB sticks so I will have 24GB in total (in other words, can the sticks have different sizes)?

And I also need to upgrade the ram of my newer computer-the mobo is GA-B150M-D3H-GSM, and I have 2X8GB of DDR4 RAM.
The same question goes here-Will I be able to mix different sizes and brands, given that they are all DDR4 in this case?
For example I thought about adding one 16GB stick for the time being, and in the future another 16 GB stick, So I will have 2X8GB + 2X16GB.
Will I be able to operate 2x8GB + 1x16GB, and in the future 2X8GB + 2X16GB.?

Many thanks!

you can only add the same sized gb of ram. try getting some corsair memory like this one.http://www.corsair.com/en-us/dominator-platinum-with-corsair-link-connector-1-5v-16-gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmd16gx3m2a1866c10
