Wifi connected but not seen

After a year my kodi box is failing to see my internet connection. I have tried both wifi and Ethernet and says I am connected in settings. When I try to upgrade it says [strike]on[/strike] no internet connection?

Help!

Do other devices in your home have internet? Do you have static or dynamic IP?

FYI "Connected" means you have a connection from the computer/device to your router, does not mean your router is connected to the internet.
So many people beleive WiFi and internet mean the same thing, they dont. WiFi is just a way to wirelessly connect to your router, an internet connection means your router can connect to an ISP that then gives them a connection to the internet.
