What should i choose if i want futureproof gaming?

I don't want to play 1080p only on high settings, i was wondering if a 1070 and a i5 7600 would be enough for like 4-5 years?

There is no such thing as "future-proofing" in computers. If you expect/demand high level performance, this is going to be an expensive hobby. You can extend the use of your current components by turning down settings, but how long that will last, no one can say. Technology moves too fast for that.
