Got a gtx 1060 but vga monitor

Hello tom's hardware im gonna build a new pc and im gonna stick with a gtx 1060 but my monitor is vga only,i know i can buy a converter but can i actually onstead of connecting the monitor to the graphics card connect the monitor to the mother board connectors , will i get the same gaming performance?
Pls help

You will get the same performance but here is the catch, the game will have to support you selecting wich monitor to play on,if you go into the settings of a game sometimes you see that you can separately select the monitor output and the gpu to use,not all games support this,actually very few do.
