Hi,

I have an i7 960 with 24 GB of ram and a mother board that is limited to PCI express 2.0 but came up on a new 4k tv/monitor. I want to upgrade my graphics card to be able to utilize the 4k monitor. Im not too much into gaming as I would primarily use it for audio/video editing, photoshop and surfing. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

1050 would be alright, but it is worth the money to get a 1060. Its gonna be better for editing/gaming and you can find them for not much more than a 1050ti. You'd be happy you got a slightly better card with a pretty decent system like yours.

A 1060 isnt really worth it if he isnt gaming.

For video editing it is. And he can get more vram. Its only 30 bucks more. Worth the extra 50 for a good performance bump that fits his needs

30 bucks more for a 1060 6gb over a 1050 ti? Really?

But yeah I dont think it makes much difference for video editing.

For me the 1050ti is 140-150 and the 1060 can be found for 190 with 3gb and 200 with 6gb
