So long story short i have recently upgraded my pc from an old acer and it has been working for 1 week but now it wont even boot.It powers up for few secs and then shuts down itself and then it powers up again and stays on with no signal. Also the last day i was using it only booted on horizional position

Specs:
h110m-s2pv ddr3
2x2 gb ddr3 crosshair ram
Intel core i3 6100
500w psu from an older build

I think it is a dead mobo because i bought it used.Any suggestions on what is the cause?

Might be PSU failing, or motherboard. Check contact points on GPU and CPU. Also check if RAM fits in place, and if the HDD is working properly.
If not, take out components, and use another mobo, and try to boot it up, this way it'll be easy to find out whats causing it.

What do you mean by it only booted in a horizontal position? Do you mean with the computer turned on it's side? Could be a loose connection. What specific brand/model # is the old PSU? You may try building the rig outside of the case, on a non-conductive surface (cardboard). Are all of the motherboard standoffs properly installed in the case?

Sorry for the late answer so here is my progress so far.Hdd is working fine as i tested it on a old pc build. Also i have already put my mobo it on cardboard and didnt work.I resated the ram too and swaped slots. As for the psu its sl-8500btx from my old build and it is quite old.So i think i ran out of solutions and my mobo died unfortunetly
