I am looking for some help on whether i should just upgrade my current build or build a new one. I've been using this build with slightly outdated parts for about 5 years now and would like some help.

This is my current build:

CPU:AMD FX 4130 Quad-Core Processor

PSU: Corsair CX430

Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Hard Drive: 1TB Seagate Barracuda

RAM: Not 100% sure but I think it is Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x4GB RAM

This is what I would like help with:

Approximate Purchase Date: Not urgent but looking at options.

Budget Range: $500-1000 after rebates.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Surfing the internet, Streaming, Watching movies.

Are you buying a monitor: Most likely.

Parts to Upgrade: Either a full rebuild or possibly looking at bridging two graphics cards together, higher watt psu, cpu cooler, ssd.

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.ca, tigerdirect.ca, Canadacomputers.com.

Location: Smithville, Ontario, Canada

Parts Preferences: Wouldn't mind staying away from some AMD products as I have had problems with them in the past.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Current resolution is 1360x768 but would like my new resolution to be somewhere around 1920x1080. Also looking at the possibility of dual monitors.

Additional Comments: Quiet PC would be preferred, needs to be able to at least run some newer games on mid to high graphics and run smooth. I can reuse the case and hard drive I have right now.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm upgrading because I feel as if I can't run some games as smooth anymore. This build has gone through a lot in the last 5 years and wouldn't mind something a little newer.

I'm not sure if I missed anything but I appreciate the help.

Hey there fellow Canadian! The only thing worth using from your previous build is the HDD. Everything else is either junk or wouldn't make sense using in a newer build.

This is the best budget build, which is great for 1080p gaming. Also, I added a good case since i don't know what case you have, and if its compatible with this build. Do let me know what case you have.

EDIT: The Build (forgot to paste it lol)

i wouldn't call that junk, but is better to start from scratch because the only cpu you can put there is a fx6300 and is basically the same you have now

a new cpu, new mainboard and ram will make you want new gpu

what case do you have now?

the psu can be reused i think but a modular one makes cable management alot more easy

i wouldn't save the seagate, i would buy another hard disk and a ssd

I'm not able to see the link (if you provided a link) for the build you put together. I have the NZXT Guardian 921RB case.

I was thinking a full rebuild would be best as well. I think the only thing i would keep is the hard drive because i have all my stuff on it and it has a lot of space. I actually made a mistake in the specs, the hard drive is actually 2TB.

The build that Trafalgar posted seems pretty good but I'm open for other options. I would like to stay around $1000 but if I have to go a little higher I don't mind.
