I have an Intel DP55KG Motherboard with 8GB (2x4GB) of DDR3 1333 MHz RAM and I want to upgrade it to 16GB. My CPU is an Intel i7 K875 running at 2.93GHz. The specs on the motherboard say that it will take up to 16GB and it has 4 slots. I got 2 more 4GB DDR3 1333 DIMMS and installed them but when I powered up, I got 3 beeps indicating a memory problem. I took the new RAM out and it worked. I replaced one of the old RAM chips with a new one and it worked. I replace the new one with the other new one and it worked. I tried putting them all in and switching positions of the new and old and I got the three beeps again. I am running Windows 10, but it never gets that far because it fails the POST. Any ideas?

Solution
That is the compatibility problem when you mixed the RAM. You need to tweak the RAM timing, voltage in the BIOS manually. If that does not work out, you will need to get the new set of RAM, or just use the 8GB.

When you try to upgrade the RAM on the old intel PC ( Only for intel 5 series MB or lower ), because it is very tricky, you are better to use the memory finder, something like:
