I have a MSI z87-G45 Motherboard that I just installed myself, when I plug in my my NVidia 740 Gt Graphics card it wont register at all, when I pull up the board explore it wont even recognize that its plugged in. When I start the computer with the card plugged in the integrated graphics wont work nor will the GPu but whn the card is out the integrated graphics work fine. Idk how to get my card to work. It worked on another motherboard just earlier today.

What is your PSU? Are you sure the PSU you have is capable of powering the PSU in terms of Watt. You need a 400W PSU atleast. And ensure PCI-E power cable is connected to the GPU if it has any.

A 740 will run on a much weaker PSU than a 400 watt one. A good quality 260-280 one should power a 740.

Its specs says it needs minimum 400W in this Page

Yes, the recommended PSU from the vendor are always on the high side to make sure you don't blow up your system and then blame them. You need to look at the actual power draw of the card under load to figure out what PSU can run the card properly.

A GT 740 max 64 W.
A 750 Ti is also about the same power use for most models.
A 750 Ti is known to run on a good quality 280 watt PSU, although I would not run it on that myself, I would want about a 300 watt PSU to keep things under the limit when temps get hot and PSU efficiency drops.
So a 740 will run on the same power. 260 may be cutting it a bit close, but could still work, 280-300 is fine.
