When playing games that are harder on my comp, such as dark souls 3 and GTA V, my PC will crash and make a sort of stuttering noise out of the speakers. This seems to happen at random times, sometimes it will be after a couple hours, sometimes after 5 minutes.

My specs are:
CPU: AMD - FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus - 970 PRO GAMING/AURA ATX AM3+ Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
Hard Drive: Seagate - Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Graphics Card: MSI - Radeon RX 480 4GB GAMING X Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Case: Deepcool - TESSERACT SW RED ATX Mid Tower Case
Optical Drive: LG - GH24NSC0 DVD/CD Writer
It also has a corsair liquid cooler, but I do not remember which model.

I don't think it's your hardware that's the issue. It seems to be potentially Windows itself. Inspect what's running while playing games (task manager). I'd ensure that the GPU drivers are up to update as that can cause these types of issues. Make sure that Windows is up to date, or even try to see if there any error codes that occur.

I have updated my drivers to the most recent ones and have installed the latest update for 8.1, but the problems are still there. What should I be looking for in task manager while playing games?

I'd say for what process are running that are taking up the most usage. I wouldn't say it's faulty hardware, maybe the worse case is a refresh of Windows. Sometimes installing so much software it can result in lagging across games and overall performance.

I went and ended the processes that were taking up the most memory and the problems are still occurring, what should I do?

I have now refreshed windows, but it is still crashing, but when crashing there is no longer any noise. update: noise is back, have tested RAM and it was fine. Still cannot figure out what is causing this.
