I regularly review my hardware performance so I know what's normal for my custom build, and what isn't.

Normally my Crucial MX300 275GB SSD is running at 30 degrees Celsius or lower, and the max recorded temperature was 44 degrees Celsius according to Crucial Storage Executive.

I recently got into the business of GPU mining and with fans running at max it reaches about 70 degrees Celsius. Today I noticed it was running 2 or 3 degrees Celsius higher than normal, nothing unusual. I imagine that's just due to the hot weather in the UK today. But then I notice my SSD is running at 54 degrees Celsius, which is most definitely not normal for it.

Just yesterday my computer suddenly slowed down so much, the mouse took more than a few seconds to respond, applications took minutes to respond, and suddenly after 10 odd minutes it resumed working. In the Event log I found some errors with my GPU, nvd.... something. I reinstalled drivers using GeForce Experience and it asked me to restart to finish, something it has never asked me to do before. Anyway I restart and end up getting a BSOD, check exception or something.

It booted normally after that. After some diagnostics windows found errors with my SSD, and so did CMD using CHKDSK. Windows promted to restart to repair and I did and it seemed fine after that.

I don't know what's up with the high temps with my SSD, I stopped mining and after about 15 minutes of writing this its temps have dropped to 47 degrees Celsius.

Any tips?

Build:

MSI TomaHawk AC
MSI GAMING X 1060 3GB
i5 6600K
Crucial MX300 275GB

Solution
How was the weather a month ago? Have you stopped mining completely?
Maybe try putting a bowl of ice in front of your case intake to see if it starts dropping the SSD temps (just for kicks).
Heat is accumulating in the case and it heats other components; Remove the side panel on your case for now, as a temporary solution. Also, it appears that your ssd might be failing (I would check disk integrity and wipe the drive to reinstall windows if it is necessary).

Run a full virus scan. Some mining softwares are rather unscrupulous as far as what they put on your system.
As far as your SSD temps, not sure. Max operating temp is 70ºC so you're still below that. When you review your temps do you usually do it from a cold boot in the morning? That may be why the temp is so low.
How much has your ambient temp changed from when you registered 30ºC? Was that months ago?

Virus scan comes up clean. When I check the SSD temp, it's usually when it's idle but not from a cold boot. However, even when bench marking it or whatever, it has never reached this high of a temperature before. Last time I checked must have been a month ago or so. After shutting it down and leaving it for a bit, it's stable at 44 degrees Celsius according to HW Monitor and CSE.

I reinstalled windows literally a few months ago. And I bought the SSD along with all my other components just in December last year., how can it be failing already? Crucial Storage Executive doesn't show any errors have occurred. CHKDSK returns nothing abnormal. SSD Life said my SSD has bad health, but it said it wasn't able to give any accurate info due to my model not giving info.
