Hello!

I'm reflecting on getting a 2nd SSD for storing all my temp files. My OS drive A.K.A. my other SSD (250GB), keeps filling up with temp files from all my softwares (mainly editing softwares), therefore I'd like to move my temp folders to another drive. I don't want to move them to a slower drive like my HDDs.

Is it worth getting a 2nd SSD to store the temp files in? Do you have any other solutions in mind?

Also if I get a second SSD I'm considering installing all my editing softwares on that drive instead and keep my OS drive as free as possible, is this a good idea or do I risk filling it up as well?

Then you will absolutely benefit from a separate SSD for the scratch disk. The program itself should still be on the OS drive.

There are helpful tutorials on the Adobe help pages on the setup for each program:

Photoshop

Premiere

Elements

There is a lot of other information on several of those but they all go over scratch disk use. That should get you started.

Yes it is indeed Adobe programs: Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop & After Effects mainly (also Audition and DaVinchi Resolve a few times)
