My PC has recently been unable to connect to the internet. On the bottom right hand corner where it shows if your connected to a network says "Not connected - no connections are available". I know its not an issue with my modem because I was able to connect other devices to it, and it works fine. I have checked to make sure the Ethernet cable is properly connected and I even switched it out. The lights on the back of my PC, where the Ethernet cord connects" is on. I ran the windows troubleshooter and it gave me the following message:
"The Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) i219-V adapter is experiencing driver - or - hardware-related problems."
I've tried downloading some drivers from the manufacturer, but so far no luck. To be honest i'm not sure what driver i'm looking for in the first place.
Secondly, if it is a hardware problem how can I narrow down which component is defective?
I am using windows 10 64-bit. My motherboard is a Asus Strix B250F gaming with a core i5-6500 Processor.
Thank you for any help.
