Stop CPU bottleneck

Hi guys. I'm wondering if there is a way to stop CPU bottleneck (if that's what is causing my problem). I have recently bought a 1080Ti. I still have an i5 4690k at stock clock. I'm upgrading to either a 6700k or 7700k. I mostly play battlefield 1, I get a steady 120fps at 1080p (upgrading to 1440p soon so no hate). It's strange cause it's fine for like an hour of playing then my frames start to drop to about 50-60. I have a corsair H100i liquid cooler and my GPU doesn't get above 55 Celsius so it's not a temperature problem. Nvidia control panel settings are all in favor of performance. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Solution
There's no bottleneck there, just the limitations of the i5.
Upgrade to a 4790k, a 7700k is a waste of cash, you're spending an odd $300 more than you need to for an 8% increase in perf clock for clock.
