Yes, most of the time... The motherboard should down-clock the frequency of the fastest module until they both match. In saying this, it's not always a good idea to mix memory. The DDR type, voltage, and preferably brand should match. If both modules are DDR4 or both DDR3, both run at the same voltage, and are from the same brand, it should work, but don't expect it to run stable 100% of the time.
