HDD as main storage

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 on my SSD and have already formatted my HDD but since my SSD is pretty small I want to download all of my files on my hard drive and use it as my main storage and only use my boot drive for games or apps that I use frequently, how do I do this? I know you can move all of the main folders by right clicking and going down to properties or whatever, but should I do this before or after downloading all of my drivers? I'm worried that it will conflict with driver downloads if I do it before all of them are downloaded. Do drivers even need to be on the same drive as the OS? I assume they do, either way I still want to keep all drivers on the same drive and the boot drive preferably since that's already where I have a few downloaded.

Drivers DO go on the OS drive. They basically become part of the OS.
You can't influence where they are installed, nor should you try.
Where they are downloaded to makes no difference. You can download them to a USB stick instead. But they will install in the OS drive.

For how to manage space, read these:

set the default download folder to your HDD inside the Browser you are using. Already downloaded drivers or files from the standard download folder (if download has finished) can be moved to the new folder on your HDD. Don´t move folders which were created from Windows itself, this could lead to conflicts.
