Internet flatlines in games

Hello. I have had a lot of issues with a couple of games. Minecraft and Path of Exile. What happens is that the ping just stops and flatlines. In Minecraft that leads to a disconnection and in Path of Exile I risk being killed and having to start over. This bothers me a lot because I like those games and I am forced to quit them just because of that. I mean I get about 5 disconnections every 10 minutes in minecraft. I have considered an ethernet cable, but in this case, there is a corridor between my PC and the router, which means i would have to have an ugly wire running along the corridor.
I am using an external network usb adapter and I am running on 5GHz wifi.
If there is any other important info I have not listed please tell me that in the comments.
This is a prebuilt PC where i have swapped out the GPU (HP Pavillion 500-221eo)
As I am writing this, I have 182mbps download speed and 4mbps upload speed.
I have had this issue this whole year pretty much but I have just lived with it thinking once I get a new GPU it will be fixed (because i play heavily modded minecraft) but that was not the case, so now I am asking you fantastic all-knowing people to help a gamer out.

My PC specs:
CPU: Intel i5 4440 3.1GHz quad core
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti 4GB superclocked
Ram: 8GB 16000MHz
HDD: 1tb 7200rpm SATA
PSU: 300W
External network USB: Linksys WUSB6300 5GHz
OS: Windows 10 (used to be windows 8)

Hi Relist,

It sounds to me like your firewall is blocking these two games. Try allowing them through your firewall and see if that fixes your issue.

I looked in the allowed programs, my games were allowed but there was one called "wireless adapter" and i allowed it, and now I have not experienced a disconnection from minecraft for the last 30 minutes until now. They still happen but a lot less often. I'm gonna come back in about 2-3h and give the results

Nope. The crashes came a lot more frequent later on and the firewall adjustment didn't help. Not sure what to do now. I have no issues like this on other computers/phones.

I have found a solution from a commenter on the linksys forums. Whoever has the same issue, it lays within the drivers of the linksys WUSB6300

DIRECT DRIVER LINK: https://www.edimax.com/edimax/mw/cufiles/files/download/Driver_Utility/EW-7822UAC_Windows_Driver_1.0.2.9.zip

1. Open Device Manager

2. Uninstall WUSB6300 (Delete the driver by checking the box)

3. Refresh Device Manager to check for new hardware.

4. Right click on WUSB6300 and Update Driver

5. Browse my computer for driver software, then click " Browse..."

6. Navigate where you unzipped the driver you just downloaded (EW-7822UAC_1.0.2.9 folder name)

7. Choose RTWLANU_Driver folder and then choose your Windows Version (Win10X64 is what I use on 64-bit win10) Win10X86 is the 32-bit driver.

8. Click OK and then Next and the driver will be installed.

9. Mandatory reboot to make sure the drivers are properly working.

Sorry for not getting back to you, I've not had the time to get on here. I'm glad you've managed to find a solution to your problem and I thank you for taking the time to post it on here for other people that may come across this issue. I also thank you for picking my reply as the best solution even though I was wrong

Drivers would have been my next guess because they can do the funniest of things!
