I've been primarily looking at EVGA, but all of the manufacturers seem to do this. There will be two versions of a card with virtually identical specs, but one has two or three fans, and one will be much shorter with a single fan.
Obviously the shorter card is meant for people who have length restrictions in their case, but if there were no difference between the models, why would they make a longer card?
Is there a benefit to the longer card? Better cooling? Quieter cooling?
