New build: unable to reach BIOs screen, despite battery reset and other troubleshooting.

I've just completed a build, but I'm having issues with getting to the BIOs screen, or really to get a picture so I can install Windows 10 via flash drive.
When I was able to get to the mobo screen, by some unknown miracle, I set it to some sort of 'gamer mode' and also moved around the load order so it would jump to the flash drive first, then to the SSD to which I wish to load the OS to. After that, I'm not getting a signal on the screen; the mobo, the GPU and the case fan powers on. I have attempted to switch the HDMI from the GPU to the mobo's port, with/without RAM, and with/without the GPU powered and/or inserted into the mobo.

I have even attempted to use a different monitor with a VGA port and have messed with the ECO switch on the back of the PSU.

Additionally, there is no beep from the system during any of this, however the mobo doesn't appear to have a built-in speaker.

An official MSI tutorial I found advised a CIMOS reset. After doing this I briefly made a small amount of progress, as the monitor did detect a signal... but with a black screen. Keyboard was lit up, but no key mentioned in the manual brought me anywhere, not even to the BIOs screen I saw last night. And then, after attempting a few restarts, a GPU reinstall, and another CIMOS reset attempt, the monitor failed to get a signal again.

So what is the problem here? What do I do now? Is it possible that the GPU/mobo is bad? Am I missing a step?

First of all, there is no onboard graphics at the moment, so those display ports on the back of the motherboard wont work, they are there for when AMD release the future AM4 APUs, so put your graphics card back in and use that.

Next, make sure you are clearing the cmos using the jumper on the motherboard, try a couple of different tools to short the 2 pins for approx 10 seconds, flat head screw driver, kitchen knife, car key etc, ive seen people fail to clear the cmos with a screw driver and use there car key instead, and its worked.

Also try with just 1 stick of ram in A2 slot only, if after a couple of attempts you cant get it to post, try the other stick.

Once you do get it to post, the first thing I would do is update the bios, download the bios, extract it onto a FAT32 formatted USB stick and use the M-Flash tool built into the bios, dont adjust any settings in the bios, just leave everything at stock settings.

No dice. (despite my phone making me claim this as a 'solution' a few minutes ago)

I've tried jumping it with my screwdriver, car keys, and a (clean) bottle opener to no avail. I also exhausted all my RAM combinations.

Also, I'm getting wind of a combination of factors, like how the Ryzen CPU itself may be naturally taking a long time to load and how maybe I bricked my mobo by setting it to 'Game Boost' instead of the default settings. I may RMA it and get something else but I want to know if there's a consensus on these factors.

Okay! There's been a breakthrough!

In my last resort before beginning the RMA phase, I decided to pull out the BIOs battery again, but this time I let it sit out for a longer period. (5-10 minutes) This successfully gave me a factory reset brought me back to the BIOs screen. Now we are in business, except that I have to reformat the secondhand SSD I plan to install Windows 10 to, but that is an unrelated matter.
