check out the cmparison and give me and solid answer
They both have up to 1x16, 2x8, 1x8 & 2x4 PCIE, But the i5 3330 has PCIE 3.0 instead of 2.0 for the i5 2400. You should go for the i5 3330 because is a newer processor.
Those processors are almost identical what are their price? . The 3330(3.2 turbo) is newer with better onboard graphics but has slower clock speeds than the 2400(3.4 turbo). If you are using a graphics card just get the cheaper one.
Actually for GAMING the i5 2400 4 Cores, 4 Threads @3.1GHz Sandy Bridge (2011)is 2% faster than the pentium G4560 2 Cores, 4 Threads @3.5GHz Kaby Lake (2017) due to the 2 extra cores. Note the age difference, indeed the pentium is a newer processor.
You said you are at the store and there are only two... choosing a part that is so important should not be a rushed decision. Also you need to make sure your motherboard supports the desired CPU. I would say order online and pick the best you can get for your money. I would look at either rysen or kabylake or skylake nothing older unless you get a killer deal.
