ok this is odd for me, i built a new computer about a month ago but i am using an old power supply. With that in mind my computer wont post after i let it sit over night, until i unplug the power from the motherboard and plug it back into the board. Just wanted to know if that sounds like a psu problem or a motherboard problem.

Just in case you need it:
msi z270 gaming m3 motherboard
I5 7600k cpu
msi 1070 gpu
gskill 4x8 ram
win 10 home edtion

Solution
If you look at EVGA's high end psu's they give a 10 year warranty so they expect them to last that long. Other's have a 5 year warranty while cheap ones typically have a 3 year warranty. I would certainly expect a high end psu to last at least 5-7 years. I had a of brand power supply die on me after a year so I said no more. After that I have been buying well known brands but even with them we have to be careful . Yours basically wasn't bad at all.

Meaning it won't post as in I cut my computer on it starts for three seconds goes to post cuts off, then I unplug the power to the motherboard replug it back in and it boots right up
