XMP resulting in "Overclocking failed"...

First of all, here is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LBRYKZ

The problem that I am having is that whenever I try and enable XMP to achieve 3200Mhz on my RAM speed, it results in an "overclocking failed" message. The BIOS and chipset are fully updated, but it still doesn't make a difference. What can I do to achieve the desired 3200Mhz as it is currently stuck at 2133Mhz...

Thanks,
Sam

Hm... this is so.. graah i dont know hmm... i'm better when i sit infront of the pc haha :)

So well.. lets analyse..
It can't be the CPU ... i also have the 7700k and get to 4100Mhz... with overclock btw...
Motherboard is rated for 3400 Mhz Ram so this also shouldnt be the Problem...
Ram is Rated for 3000 Mhz and only gets to 2400...

Voltage is Set..
On which Clockspeed and Voltage does the CPU Run?
Can you find the System Agent Voltage?

In the end they shurely sent you the false ram haha...
Please tell me they sent you the false ram...
Please take it out again and read the label on the backside... does it say 3000Mhz?

Your RAM is Rated at 3000 MHZ.. so with the normal XMP Profile that seems to be the maximum you can get...
If you want to get higher you probably need to tweak by hand... like raising the RAM Voltage... but i wouldnt do that... 3000 Mhz should be more than enough...

I run a 7700k with a 4266 Mhz Kit from G.Skill.. i also cant get the maximum Speed.. i am stuck at around 4133 Mhz ... but that is probably the Memory controller inside my processor

My problem is that it can't even reach 3000Mhz and it says that the XMP profile will hit 3200Mhz at a 3.5V. It literally produces an "overclocking error" message whenever I slightly increase it. It has defaulted at 2133Mhz, which is standard for my motherboard.

3.5 Volt this cant be right.... DONT choose the XMP Profile for 3200 Mhz... Your ram is rated for 3000 :)
Try using the profile for 2800 mhz... if this works try to go higher

Sorry, I meant 1.35V which is what is recommended for overclocking RAM. There isn't another setting from what I can see for XMP profile and whenever I increase it even slightly from 2133, it generates the error.

Oh sorry then i missunderstood you too... so even if you only activate XMP and choose 2400 Clockspeed it already wont boot?
Maybe the XMP does'nt set your Ramvoltage? I had to Set the Voltage manualy...
So go to your Bios and set the RAMVoltage to the Voltage Corsair tells you to do so...
I belive it was 1.35 Volt on this RAM but please first look it up i am not 100% shure if it was 1.35

Sometimes activating the XMP increases the BCLK which also increases the CPU Clockspeed... This could be the second thing why it wont boot... but first try the Ram Voltage please :)

The XMP profile does increase the ram voltage to 1.35v. It also doesn't increase the BCLK value. I've even tried setting the frequency and voltages myself without XMP and the highest I could go before it stopped booting was 2400Mhz. If I tried 2500Mhz, it wouldn't boot.
