I do casual gaming, I don't care about Virtual reality. I'm wondering whether I should go with the ASUS, which, after rebate and discount, will cost $119 + tax.

Or I could go with the MSI, after rebate & discount, for $110 + tax?

I only play Heroes of the storm, overwatch, and some other Indie game.

Which one is better bang for the buck in term of quality, RMA, customer service, etc.,?

Unless you are going to get a Kaby Lake chip, stick with Skylake. However, if you are only getting the i3 and don't plan to get a i7-7700K, there is no need spend big money getting a Z-board motherboard. You can easily get a H110 for under $50, use that $70 savings and invest it into a GPU.

I just got an I3-6300, I just don't want to deal with the hassle of upgrading bios just to be compatible with new Kaby Lake as I heard kaby is not a big performance jump from skylake. Please advise.
