Hey everyone. I need some help here.
I have an Asus B85M-K motherboard which was rigged with an Intel Pentium G3258 processor.

I had been using it for over an year now and it was all going great until one day my PC automatically shutdown. At first it shut itself down but then I restarted it and all was fine. Then the next day when I turned on my UPS and then pressed the CPU power button it started booting and in a few seconds it shut itself down again. And then it automatically restarted and again it went down and kept doing it so I had to turn it off. So I thought maybe my power supply unit is defective now so I opened up my brother's old cpu and took out its power supply and assembled it with my components. Then I power it on and it booted up fine and all was working OK. So I concluded that my PSU was done so I bought a new one but only to find out that the PSU was not defective my motherboard was.

When I connect the new PSU to my PC I was having the same problem so I tried it on my brother's old PC and there it was working flawlessly. So I connected my brother's old PSU again on my rig but this time it didn't boot up like it once did. I had the problem on all three. So this time I concluded that maybe my motherboard was faulty so I took it to ASUS service center. They took it gave me a copy of the jobsheet and said it will need about 10-15 days. So, I waited and after a few days they called me saying the motherboard is OK now. So happily I went there took my mobo and went back curious to check it. I connect everything and powered it up. I saw the boot menu. My PC booted perfectly and it was all working great again. I was very happy until it ashamed me again. After about 2 minutes it again turned itself off and on. But from now on it was 2 mins not a few secs like before.

So I called up the service center, explained them my problem and they said to send the mobo again for repair. So the same 10-15 days drama again. I sent it and they called me again after a few days to take the mobo saying it was repaired and working fine now. So I took it home and assembled it. Booted up and then the Asus logo appeared. I was praying that please let everything be okay. So it was. All was fine. I used my computer for 2 hours and no problem at all. I was happy again. But then came the serious problem.

My PC worked fine for a few days but then again the problem started. But this time it didn't turn itself off and on. It didn't even power on at all. My mobo light was on but my PC won't boot up. No response at all. It made me very angry. Motherboard problem 3 times its too much. I packed it up called up the service center and told then about the new problem and they asked me to bring it to them. So I did. I took the mobo again to their repair center and they didn't accept it this time. Why? Because while packing the mobo I broke and/or bend 2-3 CPU pins.

They said that the product is not under warranty now as it is having physical damage so they can't help me now. It was a sad moment for me. I asked if they could repair it in any way even on a chargeable basis but they said that if they even took the mobo to repair it on a chargeable basis they will have to send it to their service HQ and the HQ people will sent back a fully replaced product which will cost me almost about the same price the mobo is and also my warranty will still be void. So they were suggesting me to instead buy a new mobo. I requested them if they could help me in any way.

One of they guys told me to let my mobo stay with him and he will try the local market if he could get a pinboard repair from anywhere. So I told him to please do that. He said he can't guarantee if he can find a replace but he said he will try his best. I said OK as i didn't have any other option and I was short on money. Next day I called him up to ask if he found a repair for my mobo and he did. He did the repair and told me it would cost me Rs. 1200 and the mobo is working fine now. I was relieved. Next day I went to the service center and he checked the mobo in front of him and it was all OK. And also he said to me that my warranty is not void now as long as I don't do any physical damage anymore.

So I took it back home after all this and assembled it back. Turned the power on and guess what it wasn't turning on and I was having the same problem again. Just an hour ago the service person showed me my mobo was OK and now this. So I thought maybe this time some other part is defective. So I thought lets check the processor first. I took it out and voila. Some 2-3 cube like extra small things were broken. So I thought that's it. I need to buy a new processor now.

LOL All the drama once again. And I thought how can those cubes on my processor were broken. I concluded that maybe while my mobo was on repair for the second time someone must have played with the processor and it maybe had fallen down and those cubes got broken. So having no other option I had to buy a new processor now. I somehow managed some money and went to the market to and got myself the Intel G3250 processor. Went back home opened the sealed box. Took the processor out and carefully placed it perfectly on its place and closed it. Then placed the stock cooler over it. Then connected all the cables, attached the RAM stick and tried to power it on. And hell it almost made me cry. It didn't turn on. I mean GOD why ? What hell ? I mean for a moment I even thought of breaking it apart. But I controlled myself but can't control for long.

So someone please tell me what should I do now.

No problem bro. It's all good now. The guy at the service center is finally giving me a replacement of the mobo. So I guess it should do it. Anyways appreciate you giving time to my query.
