I recently did a full reinstall of windows on a formatted harddrive but when I reinstalled the internet was not working. My network controller doesn't how up in Device Manager, it only shows up as 'Ethernet Controller' under 'Other Devices'. I usually connect to the internet through ethernet so I identified the model of my motherboard and downloaded the appropriate LAN drivers, but when I ran the installer I got the error in my thread title. Couldnt find any help online. I have not installed any other drivers as of yet because the internet was the first problem I noticed, just the LAN driver for my motherboard.

Im using windows 7

I tried reinstalling the RAM as suggested somewhere else on the internet and now I'm getting no HDMI signal. I'm at my wits end, do I need a new motherboard?
