hi guys,
the title kinda says it all. i noticed, when scrolling through amazon, that ram pricings where weird.
2 sticks of 8 gb ram (speed 3200 mhz) are currently at 150 euros, by accident i missclicked on the 4000 mhz sticks (which are only available at 32 gbs, so it automatically changed) and i noticed that those only cost 180 €.
32 gb of 3200 mhz cost me 350 euros, so there is a massive difference.
is that intentional, a super duper mega deal or a mere bug?
i sadly cant see what kind of slots they use (i dont even know if there is a different kind from the normal dimm slots)
all those rams are ddr4, so that cant be the reason either, i think.

my mainboard is the b350 pc mate from msi, which can only run ram up to 3200 mhz, yet im wondering if i shouldnt just buy those 4000 mhz 32 gb sticks, just to enjoy the extra (kinda not needed 16gb) ram and run those sticks at 3200 mhz.

Is it possible to run them in general on that board? can someone help me out on that? im not reallly toooo good on that field.
the ram if question is/are the corsair vengeance (when clicked on the 4000mhz variant, they change the name to Corsair CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16)

pls help me out :)
greetings

ps. the timings on the 4ghz sticks are 19-23-23-45, i cant find that info for the lower sticks.

When selecting "4000MHz" the price drops, because it's a 16GB 3200MHz kit. The "3200MHz" link is a 32GB 3200MHz kit by default

3200MHz link @ 357EUR is "CMK32GX4M2B3200C16"
As per Corsair, that's a 2x16GB 3200MHz kit

The "4000MHz" link @ 181EUR has product number: CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16
As per Corsair themselves, that relates to a 2x8GB 3200MHz kit.

Now, while you could order and hope for the best (as technically you have selected a 2x16GB kit @ 4000MHz)

The problem(s) you're going to run into are:
1. That's clearly an error - and the product listing states the model number.
2. AFAIK, a 32GB (2x16GB) kit @ 4000MHz Corsair Vengeance does not exist.

That being said, it is Amazon - so ordering it, getting a 16GB kit @ 3200MHz and filing a dispute *may* result in them discounting or refunding you**

**I am not advocating for this at all, just stating what Amazon may choose to do

so guys short update
the offer is filed on the amazon marketplace and not by amazon directly. even though it is possible to select to buy from amazon itself, you get a notification that the article hasnt yet been released.
i would have risked my luck with amazon but i wont do that with some 3rd parties.
so thank you all for your help and your attention

Have a good one
