I recently upgraded my pc, and I grabbed a cheap titan (original) with waterblock off ebay. I'm looking to overclock and overvolt it, but I don't want to shorten the lifespan of this card. I'm looking for it to last 5 years, and 8 years at the most. I have it overclocked to 1070mhz on the core, and 7ghz on the memory. I haven't touched the voltage at all though. It is currently bios modded, and has a full cover EK waterblock. How much can I overvolt the card before the lifespan decreases below my target?

Solution
As I have said, it's a 4 years old card, almost 5. It will be lucky to survive another 5 years without stressing it. I don't recommend overvolting at all.

How much is cheap? Do remember that the original Titan is now weaker than GTX 1060 6Gb and consume two to three times more power.

Also consider how old it is, I doubt even without overclock can it survive another 5 years.

Cheap was the evga superclocked edition, at $225 with the stock cooler, evga backplate, EK waterblock, ek backplate, and some plugs. Power consumption isn't really an issue, despite being easily over 250w, possible 300w. With my current overclock I equal a 1070 in benchmarks. I'm looking for the card to survive for at least 5 years, not to stay at the top of cards and games. I'm only at 1080p after all, and that won't change for a while either. I use it for compute and the DP is necessary. I don't have the money for a titan x/p. My question is really, how much can I overvolt my card without it dying within 5 years?
