About 5-6 Weeks ago my ping has spiked in every game server I've tried to play in, I used ti get around 60-80 ping in a server and now I'm lucky to see less than 150, It was about the same time the CSGO Operation Hydra came out so I assumed it was just a problem with Valve, and that they'd fix it soon, but it's seems to not be a Valve problem and something else, I've tried changing the MTU size in my router, and have ran Ping tests on cmd and Speedtest this is the result:

what changed when u switched from ethernet to wifi?
were u comparing ethernet to wifi or wifi to wifi
everything counts and i need more info.

even installing a new fridge in your room can cause connection stability.
moving your router 5 inches can cause stability.
u get my drift?

when u are comparing, you need to make sure you have a controlled base line in the same exact setup/config/environment.

I'm having the same issue but I think I may have caused the abnormal ping.
I usually have 30-80 tops but since I messed with my adapter settings.. my ping goes between 140-170.
Are you on wi-fi btw?
My advice is for you to narrow down the potential cause for the ping spike.
Are you getting 150+ consistently and never see it drop? That helps to know.
There are so many variables that could cause this issue.
I'd start with the quick and easy way, reset your router/modem. Check your network/adaptor.
Start with your network then work your way out.
Run speed test with a few different servers that are closest to you geographically and find a pattern.
In game: If you're the only player with high ping, ask the players where they are located.

I did mess with my adapter settings a little bit but then reverted it, I changed the MTU byte size but changed it back after when I saw no change in ping, I am on Wi-Fi, and I'm getting a constant 200, only at few times it dips to 150, only like, 3 times i've seen it go down to 80 for like a minute, I ran another speed test just now and this was the result, but the ping spike doesn't seem natural
