CS:GO got a heap of graphical updates both engine and map wise, it takes a little more to run at higher settings now.
The FX series is also quite unstable in terms of gaming unfortunately, that's just how it is.
I don't know about that. I have been using a FX CPU for 3 years now with no problems with games, the sole exception being the first Mass Effect on the planet Noveria. But that is a bug covering all AMD, not just the FX processor. I used a FX6200 for nearly three years and now have a 8350 myself and it plays games just fine at ultra quality. Fallout 4, Mass Effect Andromeda, Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition. All run flawlessly.
Honestly though, if you are getting more then 60 fps, I wouldn't worry about it. It is a biological fact that the eye can't really distinguish much faster than that. If you can see a difference between 120 FPS and 400 FPS, it is your mind playing tricks on you, LOL.
Lmao....
So Youtube made 60fps video available even though you think the human eye can only see 40fps?
When you move your eyes fast, or when you see blur in games that's where frames are missing.
Until that's 100% smooth, more frames will give benefits.
My bad, all the 100Hz, 144Hz and 240Hz monitors on the market must be fake, no wonder people buy them.
Look at a 144hz monitor will ya?
Edit: Ah, I see you've edited it from 40 and 120.
