Strange stuttering with new system

Hey all!

I recently upgraded my computer with a few various parts:

Mobo: ASUS z270-a
CPU: I7 7700k @ 4.2ghz
Memory: Crucial CT16G4DFD8213.C16FBD 1x16GB

These went with my existing components:

GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070
Cooler: Maelstrom 240 liquid cooler
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB

Ever since installing the new parts however, my system is suffering from a strange stutter whenever I do anything like play a game or even using apps like discord or sometimes even watching youtube.

What could possibly be causing something like this? As far as I'm aware, my system should more than easily be capable of doing all of these tasks with little to no difficulty.

Thanks for the help!

What parts did you upgrade from? Did you do a full windows reinstall? Make sure you have the latest bios update? Try uninstalling video drivers and use DDU to remove leftovers. Then get new drivers not the auto update.

MB: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. CROSSHAIR V FORMULA-Z
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0 ghz

Those were the parts that I replaced, and the system ran fine pre-upgrade (though the CPU would bottelneck the GPU in newer titles understandably, hence the desire to upgrade).

I have fully updated the bios, though haven't tried removing video drivers and re-downloading. I will attempt everything you've said and get back to you on any developments. Thanks for the fast reply also!

Pretty important unanswered question there: did you do a full, fresh, install of Windows 10?

My bad, didn't mean to glance that one over. It's not a new install
