Will CAS timing be scaled down by a Core i7-2720QM with 1866MHz RAM

Deciding if going with cheaper RAM of 1866 speed will work on an Intel Core i7-2720QM which specs seems to only go to 1600MHz, and if so will it scale down the timings. Then I have a bargin so long as advice to date is correct, lol.
Running on W7pro 64bit.

It won't necessarily scale down automatically. It depends whether the memory has a profile for 1600. Otherwise you'll be setting it manually, including the timings.

OK .Sounds easy. Thanks for that. They say to bring the timings down by 1,1,1,3 Tweaks at a time, sound about right? . This could become a $180 gamble / learning curve, (bit like quad building ). I could though ask one of those professional fat butt female pro Tweakers . to fix the timings and save the fear of blowing the RAM up .. my bad, thats Twerking.
