I have Mazda 121 (2002) and bought Sony MEX 5200BT + Crunch 80w coax speakers. I put them on the front door and basically until 75% volume it is all fine. After 75% volume it all sounds pretty bad, some noises come out and the sond is actually barely recognizable. On <75% volume, the sound is better and louder than the previous system, but am asking myself what is going wrong after the 75% volume

You'd like to need amplifier to deal with this higher wattage speakers as well

The main question is why do you need the volume anywhere near that high?
Other then to be a * and annoy every one around you

I don't usually listen to that volume. I just installed the new speakers and tested the new system, but thanks. I firstly though it was a problem that I put the coax speakers in the car's stock component system, as there might be a crossover filtering the frequencies.
