hi guys, on 26/05/2017 i bough this motherboard in the title for my new ryzen 5 build but today i started to have doubts: ryzen 5s are supported only after a bios update? if it's like that i have to flash my bios but i don't have an r7!! can anyone tell me if my doubt is legit or there's a possibility that my mobo is already updated out of the box since the date i bought it? i can't test it now cause i miss the ram which i'm buying next week (i hope).
thanks for your help.

RyZen 5's need bios H1 to run on that board, see here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-TOMAHAWK-ARCTIC.html#support-cpu

It might be that the board shipped with that bios, which was the 2nd bios released for it, however, if it didnt, then it will...

Your only choices really, is ask the shop you brought it from to update it for you, they should offer this service for free as its still in the warranty period and considered as not working, or if possible, borrow an R7 from someone, a friend etc, you only need it for 10 mins to update the bios, or you can pay an independent shop to update it for you, or finally, if you have an MSI service centre anywhere near you, get them to do it for you, again it should be free.
