I am running on a 32 bit OS so my maximum RAM will be 4GB. The computer was using 2x1GB DDR PC2-6400 sticks. I added two more 2x1GB DDR2-667/533/400 DIMM, 240 pin sticks.

Is there any reason they would not be compatible? Should I just purchase 2 more new ones to replace the old ones I have? Also, I will attach a link to my crucial settings.

As always I appreciate you guys.

Solution

Getting 4 mis-matched ram sticks to work is problematical at best, impossible at worst.Even the same brand, make model, and timings if the sticks were purchased at different times, even only weeks apart.

They sell ram in matched sets for a reason.

The new sticks work fine by themselves, the issue arises when all 4 are in at the same time.
