Lcd display flashing problem

I have a acer lcd moniter , modle al1916wa , when i start the computer , cpu disply r not found but only three types of display r apper continously , 1- colour partten , 2- white plane screen 3- grey colour plane screen. Then what is the fault ?

hang-the-9
First test the monitor on another system and another monitor on yours. Try with another cable and/or connection type.

Also need to list full system specs of the computer and when this started, did anything happen to the system right before the issue?
