I am trying to run two additonal monitors on my laptop in extended mode. I will not be using it for gaming just email and web. The first additonal display I am running is using the existing HDMI port. The second I am trying to run on a Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI adapter. At this point it only wants to use one or the other not both. In my mind a 970M should allow me to set up multiple displays for gaming ...why not for boring low demand work stuff. My last computer had some crap Radeon GPU and it had all the options of a high performance gaming rig, Now that I actually have a "gaming" note book the Nvidia control panel only has 3D settings in the control panel. It is missing the display set up ,etc. From my understanding this is because of the optimus setup. The computer runs on the Intel HD until you start gaming or something that demands a GPU. I feel like I could easily set the displays up if I had the standard Nvidia control panel options. Sorry for the bad spelling I was rushing and avoiding watching eyes at work. Thanks in advance.

No experience with laptops in this respect.
You mentioned not having the Nvidia control panel to set up displays. Have you tried Windows display settings? (I'm assuming Windows.) I recall they somewhat overlap on some things.
