Approximate Purchase Date: the closer the better

Budget Range: 2.000-3.000€

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Coding

Are you buying a monitor: Most likely (does not need to be in budget)

Parts to Upgrade: none

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: needs to be available in germany

Location: Germany, Cologne area

Parts Preferences: none

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: currently 1920x1080, intend to upgrade

Additional Comments: as quiet as reasonable. Would be nice if there were no overly complicated parts, as I have not build anything for 10 years

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:

My current device is more than 7 years old and can only handle current titles at low settings. I can affort to spend up to 3k on a new system, anyhow I´m unsure where the sweet spot is right now. 4k Resolution would be nice, but I would be willing to settle for future proofing right now, and upgrade later on, if that should be the consensus.

Thank you for your input!

Don't upgrade the monitor yet. If you want this PC to last long stick with 1080p. If you want you can upgrade to a G-Sync monitor but get a G-Sync 1080p monitor. If you already have a good Gaming monitor no need to upgrade. Upgrade the monitor next time you upgrade. By then there will be good enough GPU to handle 1440p or 4K for a longer period of time. At present this setup can only support 1440p for 2Yrs at high settings and 4K hardly 1Yr.

That 10Core CPU is good for coding and future-proof gaming. Games will start using more number of cores.

Replace the Corsair Fans that are provided with CPU cooler with the bequiet ones I provided in the list.

This build at 1080p can last you 5Yrs at high settings with ease. At medium to lower settings even longer.

Thanks for the answer, Dranzer.

Sadly Powersupply and Motherboard are currently out of stock. Should I wait or, is there an equivalent alternative? Anything I should look out for in monitors (other than 1080p and G-Sync)?
