Hi guys,

Just finish choosing the component for my first home made computer.. The thing is, it's already too expensive, I need to cut in something... Something around £60, max £70. Water or air, either way, just the best I can buy with that money...

CPU - Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core
GPU - Asus GeForce GTX 1060 STRIX
Motherboard - Asus STRIX H270F GAMING ATX LGA1151
Ram - HyperX Fury Black 8GB (4GB x2) DDR4 2133MHz CL 14 Memory
SSD - Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Case - Fractal Design - Core 1000
Monitor - Asus VG248QE 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor
PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 550 g2
Cooler - ??

Keep in mind i'll oc the cpu eventually and don't want to get crazy temps :p

And btw, do you think this build is good? Or should I change something?

thanks

Noctuas high end HSFs are overpriced. A Scythe Mugen 5, Scythe ninja 4, thermalright macho direct are all high end HSFS for around $50.

I'm getting this cpu to use for vectorial designs and illustrations, don't wanna struggle with corel/illustrator and want everything to be done as fast as possible...
And I'll use it for cs go as well, that's a cpu based game, so I can have the best performance in game.

I wont pretend to know what vectorial designs and illustrations are, but the Ryzen line-up is geared more towards workstations than gaming. The R7 1700 is in the same price range as the 7700k and has 4 more cores and 8 more threads. The R7 does not clock as fast as the 7700k, but in just about every workstation task, it competes, or beats, the 6900k with is 3 times the cost of a 7700k. I am not an AMD junkie either, I have preferred intel because they have had better products in the past, but the Ryzen chip is very good and priced much better.

If price is a concern, I would go with Ryzen.

You plan to oc eventually? Well, you can't do it at all with that H270F motherboard. You need a Z170/270 to do so, and they will cost more.
You may want to move down from the 7700 to the 7600, and get like a Cryorig H5/H7 universal for the cooler.

Oh really? I didn't knew that... The price difference between those boards is £25, the H270F and the Z270I... What's diffence between z270i z270f Z270e? can I oc with any of these?

You can oc with any Z-series board. As for the difference, it all comes down to the features. Get the board which best fits your needs. If it's too confusing, you can always go with the cheapest model, or the one that's 'middle-of-the-road'. The higher priced ones are likely to have more features you may never get around to using, but again, that depends on if you know what you want.

The Cryorig M9i is a decent cooler on the cheap (about $20 USD usually), and it's enough for a stock 7700K, and maybe even some very mild overclocking. The next step up is the ~$35 Cryorig H7. Above that, you're looking at one of Noctua's 140 or 150mm tower coolers.
