Hi,

Im starting my uni soon and i have to get a new laptop and a smartphone. This has raised one question to my head. Is apple worth it for students if you have the money. Because i could buy iphone and a macbook and i have heared that they go well together and have some neet pros against using windows laptop and a android smartphone. So question is wich is better Apple + Apple or Windows + Android. which has more useful stuff and programs for students?

get a cheap but decent android phone... BUT resist installing a bunch of crap on it, only install tools that will help in class. Get the best deal you can swing w/ the carrier your family is using or that is best for the campus area

Laptop, get on that will fit your study field.

Just a business or liberal arts... an i5 laptop will do

Engineering or video rendering, i7 w/ SSD and HDD combo + 12-16GB RAM

big price difference there as well... from $500 to 41500

This is a huge issue on what OS you want. I am going to college for my second year here soon and I rocked Windows/Windows + iPhone. The huge PRO of going all Apple is everything is always sync'd within Apple's Apps/OS. Another huge PRO is, not as many viruses for yourself to get in trouble. However, if you're like me and don't like the Apple OS then those don't matter to me. I use Microsoft's Apps on my iPhone to keep everything sync'd. I always brought my laptop to class to take notes in Microsoft OneNote, which sync'd to my email. This means I can access this from anywhere (phone, gaming PC, laptop) and always update it. You wouldn't be able to stop by the library (by my knowledge) and pull up all your notes if you forgot your laptop if you had Apple. I found out having Windows is a lot nicer when trying to run something that a professor has given us to use. We had to run some software earlier in the class and most of the people with Macs had issues eventually.

This completely up to the user though as it depends on what features you want easier to you. I'd still recommend going with atleast Windows for your PC.

macbook and iphones pair well, being a student you should go for that, windows machines get slow and laggy over time with virus threats, macs arent immune but has better life as a overall product, build quality are great and performance is good to unless you want to do heavy gaming.
