RMA'd XFX GPU - how long does it usually take?

Hello.

Existing topic (back from 2015) regardless that doesn't serve any info on the time frame it'd take so I started a new one.


I delivered my RX 480 to the reseller in my country on 6th April 2017 and I'm still waiting for it to come back from repair service. :/
Asking the reseller for details ends up with "in process" respond, which kinda pisses me off as they don't give any other info, guess I'll have to hit them up via phone.
Basically, by doing the maths, the card could have been in actual repair for approx 26 days now (supposing it has been delivered to XFX).


Back on topic, how long does XFX RMA actually take, assuming that you are living in USA or UK? I'm desperate for that info because I don't know whether whole process can take 3-4 months or even longer. If it turns out they bring it back while I'm on holidays, they can send it back to their central in case I won't appear in given time to withdraw it from the shop, which would definitely consume another week or two knowing courier services there.

Shop is called "Komputronik" in case that changes something.


Need help, playing on Intel iGPU drives me nuts. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Typically if you are sending it back to the reseller they should have just swapped it for any they had available, immediately, or refunded your money. I doubt they have an in-house repair shop for GPUs.

If you are waiting for Komputronik to turn around and ship it back to XFX for repair, who knows. I would have started with the manufacturer directly myself, unless I was planning on a return, or had a guaranteed turn around time from Komputronik.

You should also note that availability of RX480 and RX580 is under great stress due to cryptographic currency mining becoming viable again. So if it is truly broken, they won't be fixing it, but sending you a different refurbished unit.

Contacting XFX via mail requires you to register the product, which I didn't do as who would even suspect card fans die after barely 5 months of usage.
Only fans and/or their controller died, overally GPU is fine.

TL;DR Seems like I'm stuck.
