i recently had my laptop shell break and couldnt use the lid anymore, or atleast open it. the mobo still worked and everything was good on it not that old. so i put the mobo and all the componnets, beside the keyboard and track pad, into a pc case so it could have more air flow and look good cause it is my home theater laptop. but now it wont power on? the battery will charge and the batery charge led will come on but noithing will power on when i press the button? any help?

well it wouldnt have been able to have repairs it was about 4 going on 5 years old. plus they would make me pay for the repairs and i have 2 perfectly good laptops that i use as work laptops. i was just putting it in the case so that it could look good and be allot more airflow.

figured out that the connection where the ac adapter plugs in was disconnected so it was kind of making contact, enough to let the battery charge but not enough to power the mobo. so i soldered the connection back together and all is good.
