I was trying to update my BIOS for my Intel DX58SO Motherboard, and during the update (using the express update) it failed on the stop "Flashing Image for Recovery Firmware". The computer turned itself off and upon starting it back up, it wouldn't POST. No bios screen at all. It continues to fail at the same part if I try to update the BIOS through a usb stick. I have no CD or floppy drive. my current BIOS version was 5506, and I was trying to update to 5600. I have tried updating the BIOS with the config jumper on pins 1-2 2-3, as well as completely uninstalled. My keyboard seems to light up for a few seconds then turn off and on over and over when not attempting to update bios.

Thanks for helping, if you need any more info just ask.

UPDATE: I tried unplugging my keyboard as well as all of my sata connectors, and currently I am at a black screen, but the black is coming from my graphics card due to my monitor not going to sleep.

UPDATE 2: Like around 1 year later I finally got this motherboard working, I bought a floppy drive and used a different computer to write the bios to it, with the jumpers in 2-3 I connected the floppy drive and SUCCESS! Bios are now at version 5600, and the board works correctly!

When you mean by jumper 1-2 and 2-3 you reset the bios the default and also you tried a usb stick you gonna have to try the cd/dvd or if you can floppy way also, because the bios is corrupted pretty much. also don't use version 5600 use the one you was using before, when you try re flashing the bios use 5506. If we can not successfully re flash the board is bricked
