SO I have this HP pc which isn't the best for gaming (the specs are here:https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-500-500-Desktop-PC-series/7477729/document/c04555845/)

I wanna upgrade my GPU to an Rx480 or something and Im assuming Ill need to get a new power supply and maybe a new case. Idk what ones to get tho

(Im pretty sure my motherboard is compatible with an Rx480 but Im not 100% sure)

Well good luck getting an RX 480 or 580... they are very scarce right now! Unless you want to buy mine lol (jk)
The power supply is going to be a conern... however the RX 480 is very energy efficient!
IF the 12v rail on your PSU puts out around 20+ amps, you will probably be alright so long as your CPU does not hog a ton of power. That PSU will probably be cutting it close though...

I imagine the VGA slot on there is PCiE... if its not you are in trouble. When was that computer in production?
Power supply is all about how much you want to spent... and what will fit. There are literally hundreds of options.

I would HIGHLY recommend one of those little pocket sized 1050 Ti cards... you probably won't have much room in the...

I really recommend jonnyguru for PSU selections.... his reviews are awsome. But just for a standard gaming rig, you would be fine with a toms hardware tier 3 PSU I imagine.

honestly ur right about the gtx 1050 ti. Overall it would be much easier to work with and I probably wont need to but a new PSU cuz its only like 70 something watts I heard. It may not be as powerful but im not looking for top of the line stuff. Thanks!

Yeah man! I'm not sure how much power draw it has... but is a very cool card, I just wish it supported SLi... because two of those cards would be cool in the future... or does it?
I do not think it does but man, low profile stuff is great.
